HGC® Spring Promise® John Hopkins

Helleborus x hybridus

Lenten Rose John Hopkins is a vigorous, long-lived Spring Promise® variety with deep red flowers carried on reddish stems that radiate with unique brilliance when viewed against the light. It adds colour to the awakening garden from January onwards. Over the years, it grows to form a clump of up to 80 cm in diameter, preferably in a partially shaded place. John Hopkins makes excellent combinations with other spring flowers, such as daffodils (Narcissus), grape hyacinths (Muscari), or dwarf irises (Iris barbata-nana) in the garden and is also a charming cut flower to create lovely table decorations in spring.
