SNOW ROSES IN DECORATIVE BOTTLES

Minimalist DIY with greatest effect

It you want to transfer the bold flashes of Snow Rose colour from your garden into your home, you have a plethora of options to choose from. Ice N' Roses® Snow Roses make an immediate impression also as cut flowers with a vase life of up to two weeks, depending on the time of cutting. To show off their play of colours to the best effect, we chose a minimalist-style vase design with clean lines and shapes. The decoration with a single flower in each plain glass bottle is timeless – and it’s in full trend at the moment. There's another trend that also comes into play. Upcycling ideas are not only a neat way of putting emptied storage jars and bottles to new use, and most households have plenty of them to spare.

MATERIAL MATERIAL

small glass bottles (e.g. nicely shaped oil/vinegar bottles), masking tape, sponge, waterproof paint, small bowl for the paint, Snow Rose flowers
STEP 1 STEP 1

Tape off the upper third of a clean bottle with masking tape, pressing down the tape well to obtain a neat line. You might want to use a slightly elastic tape as it prevents paint from running underneath it better than non-elastic masking tape.
STEP 2 STEP 2

Using the sponge, dab the paint onto the glass below the masking tape until the surface is coated with paint. Allow to dry completely and repeat as needed. To obtain a small sponge, you can just use a pair of scissors to cut a kitchen sponge into handy pieces.
