The market is currently dominated with Helleborus x hybridus with seed produced varieties such as the ‘Immanence Series’. These varieties are characterized by a wide range of flower colors. The downside in current production methods is that at best only 30% of the varieties flower the first year. Unfortunately they are wrongly identified as ‘Helleborus orientalis-hybrids.’
