H. x nigercors is a hybrid of H. argutifolius and H. niger. The slightly toothed leaves, which are divided into three parts, remind one of the parent plant H. argutifolius. The plant habit and the white flowers, which might have a green or crème color as they mature, are reminiscent of H. niger. The flowers appear from December through April. As the flowers mature the flower color often changes into a green or even a peach breeze.

This hybrid is sterile and can only be propagated by division.

H. x nigercors is a hardy perennial that can offer a beautiful presentation of flowers in pots and containers. This helleborus is evergreen in the garden. H. x nigercors prefers an alkaline soil that is rich in humus. It tolerates full to part shade but must have good drainage. Avoid overcrowding in the garden.
