Stinging nettle slurries can reduce attacking insects and can increase the resistance to disease for the plant.

The production of this slurry is very easy. Put one kilogramme fresh stinging nettle, Urtica dioica or Urtica urens, in 10 liter water. Using dried stinging nettle 100 up to 200 gram suffices. The fermented slurry has to be weakened tenfold with water. Once mixed, it can be spread around the plant on the ground or on the leaves of the plant.
